Interlaken is a bustling town nestled between two magnificent lakes, Thunersee and Brienzersee. Interlaken was our main hub for this stay. You can simply travel between all cities seamlessly with the train travel pass. We started the day by stocking up on supplies at the Coop Supermarkt Interlaken Ost, ensuring we had everything we needed for the days ahead. We indulged in a delicious coffee at Velo Cafe before embarking on an unforgettable journey to Harder Kulm. We took the funicular to the top and enjoyed the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lakes.

Day 2: Interlaken: Giessbach Waterfalls & Brienzer Rothorn

We got ready for a day filled with natural wonders and breathtaking views. We began by visiting the awe-inspiring Giessbach Waterfalls, a cascading masterpiece tucked away in the lush forests. We felt the mist on our faces as we admired the powerful rush of water descending down the mountainside.

Next, we embarked on a scenic train ride to Brienzer Rothorn. We sat back and enjoyed the panoramic views as the train took us up to the summit. Once we arrived, we laced up our hiking boots and explored the ridge trail that offered sweeping vistas of Lake Brienz and the surrounding mountains. This is a very long hike and our goal for coming up here was to admire the views and walk out along the ridge for a mile or two. The beauty of the Swiss Alps left us in awe and created an unforgettable day to add to our memories.

Day 3: Murren: Alpine Beauty and Adventure Venture

We began our day by exploring the captivating Trümmelbachfälle, a series of impressive waterfalls hidden within a mountain. Experienced the power of nature as we walked through tunnels carved by the cascading water. Continued our adventure with a visit to Mürrenbachfall, another enchanting waterfall in the heart of Murren. Concluded our day with a visit to Schilthorn, famously known as the setting of a James Bond film, where we soaked in panoramic vistas from the mountain summit.

Side adventure: For the more adventurous, who have climbing experience, try the Nepal Bridge and Kletter Steig, a thrilling via ferrata route that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 4: Lauterbrunnen: Nature’s Masterpiece

Lauterbrunnen, a picturesque valley adorned with cascading waterfalls and charming Swiss chalets. We visited the Lauterbrunnen Tourismus Point to capture a stunning photograph of the valley’s iconic scenery. We got as close as possible to the impressive Staubbach Waterfall, a symbol of Lauterbrunnen’s beauty. Took a leisurely stroll through the village and admired the quaint Kirche Lauterbrunnen, a charming chapel that adds to the village’s allure.

Day 5: Grindelwald: Thrills and Serenity Ahead

Grindelwald is a village known for its adventure activities and breathtaking landscapes. We started our day with a thrilling slide ride that offered panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Explored the Gletscherschlucht ravine, where we witnessed the power of glacial meltwater as it carves its way through the rocks. We took the First Cliff Walk presented by Tissot, a suspended platform that provides thrilling views of the Grindelwald valley. For an adrenaline rush, we rode the mountain carts down from First. We concluded this full day of adventures with a scenic hike to the serene Bachalpsee, a mountain lake offering tranquility and stunning reflections.

Day 6: Kandersteg: Alpine Bliss Embark

We started off by making the journey to Kandersteg. This trip entailed hiking to the mesmerizing Oeschinensee, a pristine alpine lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Immersed ourselves in the tranquility of the surroundings, took a refreshing dip in the lake, and simply basked in the breathtaking views. The hike to Oeschinensee offered a perfect blend of natural beauty and serenity, providing an unforgettable conclusion to our Swiss adventure.
